Reliable Benchmarks – What makes a Good KPI?

The National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA) recently delivered a webinar on a balanced health and safety scorecard – metrics to measure performance and enable an effective strategy.

The Objective Key Results (OKR) approach to setting goals is a great way to effectively support a strategy and has been used at Google, LinkedIn Airbnb, and many more. OKR’s are often complimented by Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Effective (KPI’s) combine a balance of metrics that are:

  1. Predictive
  2. Valid
  3. Reliable
  4. Important
  5. Functional
  6. Clear

Contact us to understand how to apply reliable and valid survey benchmarks as part of your balanced scorecard.
